Our Mission

Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, 尊重, 热情, reverence, and wisdom. Nurturing body and soul, mind and heart, Archmere focuses on the whole person through academic excellence, faith reflection, social development, and service to others. Inspired by its heritage, Archmere cultivates empathetic leaders- young men and women prepared for every good work.

Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program. The academic disciplines foster critical thinking skills, strengthen analytical reasoning, and foster intellectual creativity through each department.   • Indoor Track & Field Opens Season with Record Breaking Performances

    On Saturday, December 9th the winter track and field team kicked off their season with a Quad Meet at Tower Hill. There were many personal best times and jumps, including two new school records set by Jack Maister '24. Jack recorded 39'-0 in the triple jump and went on to set a new school record in the high jump, hitting 6'-0. Thirteen teams participated in the season opening meet.

    New Head Coach Nick Sanna '98 Records First Win

    In the boys basketball season opener for both Archmere and Wilmington Christian on December 12 at the Moglia Fieldhouse, the Auks seized momentum and the lead with a 19-0 run on the way to a 59-33 victory. It was the first win at Archmere for new head coach Nick Sanna '98, an assistant for the Auks the past few years.

    Girls Basketball Notches Comeback Win Over Tatnall

    On the road on December 12th, the Archmere girls basketball team fell behind Tatnall 11-4 late in the first quarter.  Tatnall’s one-point halftime lead disappeared early in the third quarter with the help of Lucy Oliver '24, who went on to lead the team to a victory, recording a double-double at 22 points and 12 rebounds for the night. The 53-41 game was the Auks’ first win of the season.
